Re: Shifting into 3rd gear, watch out!
A challenging two card puzzle. The castle was killer but I enjoyed the end result. I try harder and harder to avoid short cuts on every piece.
Thanks!

Re: Shifting into 3rd gear, watch out!
Hey Fish, Although these look great I wanted to suggest something that I noticed on a couple of these and that is a lack of line weight. Just a tad more would really push the images out a bit more Good to see that you continue to push your layouts

Re: Shifting into 3rd gear, watch out!
It's kinda tricky to get the line weight looking right for me. When I started I was putting a solid thick line on the outlines to make them pop and almost did here. I decided to stop that a while back.
It's hard to tell at that scan size but I was pretty conscious of line weights but on a smaller scale. The tricky part is in the pen I use. Sometimes it wants to over flow thicker (pain in the butt).
This is something I'll make sure to make more noticeable in the future though. I am striving for only the best Thanks for the good eye D!

Re: Shifting into 3rd gear, watch out!
Micron .005 for the line work with a little being a brush and ink. I have 107 nibs which are a bit too big so I can't use them on the cards. The .005 will go from a .005 to a .05 in thickness. I'm buying a new one today. I wish these things had flow regulators.

i only have one bit of advice. you see the black on thors arm? well that shouldn't be there, the colors are far too birhgt to have solid black on skin like that

Actually those are cast shadows. Their caused by unobstructed light sources. Even if he were pure white they'd be there.
Not to mention the terrible scanner. His skin tone is actually a lot darker.

Re: Shifting into 3rd gear, watch out!
Here's a wolverine and Wonder Woman I did recently:
I reflect again at the first wolverine sketch card I did and I surprise myself, I never thought I'd be able to draw smaller and with more detail. Actually found inspiration in Nar. I figured he shows it's possible so I should at least try. Man was I scared to go that small back then.:
