Tombow and Copic Markers

Yeah, I know. The ever debatable subject of markers.

I've recently started collecting and using Copics, and I must say that I simply LOVE THEM!! I love how the tips feel, an how easily they blend. I've tried Prismacolors and I'm not that fond of them.

But I have recently found a local art supply store that sells Tombow markers. I was wondering if anyone has used them, and if they have used them with Copics. They're fairly inexpensive, and I would like to supplement my Copics with them. But I'm not going to invest in them if they aren't worth it.

So, has anyone used them before?

Tombow's are water based. Copics are alcohol based. You can get some decent watercolor-esque effects, but can't really blend between them.

The black tombows are great for convention sketches though, but the rest of the colors tend to be mottled, so unless you're going for a textured look, they're not too smooth in their color lay down.
