Should I make love to the forum?
So, a lot of work went into creating this forum. Many tedious hours working with CSS and HTML, designs and all. I'm noticing we're really just not getting any activity up in here like we used to.
With everyone on Facebook and Deviant Art, who needs forums really??
I wonder if having this forum up is just a waste of internet space.
I will be loading up my main website eventually as well as the Sketchlords store front. Not sure if we need a forum anymore though. Scoundrel is also the better place to be for card talk.
Its a bit disappointing but not too much. I was thinking of shutting it down or changing it to a general comic artist hang out. No more "Nar" comic underworld. Just "comic underworld".
hmmm... For the few of you who come in here, do share your thoughts.

*shrugs* i dont know honestly, deviant/facebook/scoundrel were all around prior to these forums. dont know why things slowed down so much. why not start a suggestion/complaint thread see if theres something to attract more traffic(i dont want to see this place go T_T)

I know Facebook is a big hit with creators now because they can easily share all their latest projects, news, commentaries and video feeds. I'm on Facebook 95% of my internet time. I'd love to revive this place but I don't see people caring to make an account on a web forum when they can easily get my updates on Facebook now. Deviant Art as well, although I closed my account there a few years back.
I know at some point, someone told me this forum was dying because I stopped visiting it due to my job. But Im kinda around now and its really not too active anymore.
Maybe if I announce "Free nar sketch cards if you join this forum!" ...lol. jk.

I actually really like smaller forums, there like small towns where you know everyone. im sure im not the only one either, im part of some absurdly archaic forums that still have a pretty active group.
it seems odd a forum would ghost ship just because your not to active in it(dont get me wrong ur an awesome admin, still)
LOL yeah free sketches would do it, youd quickly be contending with facebook if you did that, though if you had a contest..... maybe for one of your cards.....that would get alot of peoples attention

This was a really nice forum and I met some really nice people here..but like I said "it WAS"...idk the reason why i'm not here anymore, and it's not facebook or DA because i don't have facebook account and i almost never log in into DA...
it would be shame to close this down but than again...there's nothing much left...it's like with everything on internet right?! soon the facebook will be abandoned place...i like forums more than any of those sites because forum feels a little bit different, more like a "family" place...
yeah...well...

Interesting Topic! Ok, Here go my two cents......ready? Here we go!
I strongly believe that the closure of this board for a while really put a dent on things. I'm sure a bit of frustration kicked in for some but once things went online again....a lot of us found other outlets to share our work. I really don't think that Facebook has much to do with it really. FB is more of like what you said Nar, a place where people can give updates about there where.....abouts  Heh heh, anyhoo, I still like to go to places like PJ, DW, and Liefelds because you still get that personal feedback on your work and well for me, I like giving feedback. You really can't do that on FB cause it'll be somewhat Rude and Disrespectful posting your thoughts about someone's work for millions to see, not something I'll do to anyone.
Here on the other hand, we know each other, we can be a bit more harsh cause it's a closed space for those in NarLand or any other board. Im sure some people like the " Oh my god your like the best!!!! " or " Oh my god, you're my God!!! "  and that's what DA and FB are for.
So what am I getting at you say, well it's this. NCU is a known place where " NAR " comes to post work, give his thoughts, and help you with some positive/negative feedback, and that's what people loved. On top of that, we were able to meet some of the coolest people around on these message boards.
I still come here cause I like to talk to old friends, see what's new from old friends and hope to see newbies as well. I know that life happens, I know people have jobs or work that prevents them from getting on, shoot I know I stopped for a bit due to all of the above. I will admit Nar, I do come back in hopes that you're on. Why, cause for one, you've always been a blast to talk to, always great to see you're new stuff ( i.e. WIP, sneak peeks ) and also, hopes of getting your thoughts on our work.
So for those that are still reading and/or are awake.....I say this, It does make a huge difference if you're around Nar. You might have to go back a few steps to get this on the right path again but you'll have to invest your time....and if you have it and you enjoy being on here to hang with close ones, I say do it. But, if you don't have the time and you do want to enjoy spending time with friends, we'd understand if you shut it down.
Dude, I can only speak for myself, what ever you choose to do I back you up %100! Why, well for those that don't know and in case you for got man ( no worries  ) Nar single handedly brought me back from the dead! If it wasn't for Nar, I would not be where I am with my art. His stuff reminded me of my stuff from years past that I found my love for drawing again.
For that, Thanks Dude!!!
Now, When you wake up, feel free to finish where you left off and we'll just wait and see where we go from here. Your decisions are always for the best Nar, we know that, so what ever you decide, I'm there man!!!
Hope to hear your thoughts on this....and everyone else's

Well here's the thing for me. Facebook has been my outlet for all updates I make, including the silly ones. Never thought that would be the case as I used to hate FB lol.
When we posted about Sketchlords and the set we did here, hardly anyone made a single contribution to the topics. So we figured, people here either didn't care for it or just didn't see it at all lol.
Hence why we focused on Scoundrel instead though we keep this place posted for the ghosts to read lol.
I don't necessarily want to forget about this forum but if people aren't going to support it, then there's no point in me wasting valuable time with it. I've ran this site with Jon Gault for 10 years now.
I wanted this site to be generally about all of you. And not just me.
I do enjoy offering technical help but if you guys aren't asking for it...well, lol.
I think this forum has great potential if everyone can just loosen up, play a little, talk about things that can probably bring us closer to each other again, get to know one another more and make it our home again. Leave the negativity behind a little. 
Thanks Jen, maybe I'll leave it up but again, without outside support, it may be pointless.
Hey Idee, why did you stop coming here girl? You used to be here almost every day and we all enjoyed your company!

Heh, by loosening up I don't mean turn into a whore on me. lol
I know you're joking bro, but just to clarify what I meant, some people are kind of intimidated but shouldn't be. Not of me per se but just the whole coming out of the woods from lurking about after the whole shut down thing that happened in the past.
I think maybe we all have a lot of great things to talk about. Id love to know what Idee has been up to as of late. How she's doing and all. Its been forever. I still have my myspace up and I know she uses that, but I sorta quit even checking it. Myspace is --->
