Sonic The Hedgehog!
Most ppl probably don't know this cept for those who were around when I first joined Digitalwebbing's forums. But I'm a HUGE Sonic fan. I have nearly every comic that's been published and still buy them til' this day.
February 1993... I still remember it. I was 6yrs old and it was the first time my Mom gave me an allowance. They gave me $2.00. We walked up to the CVS that was down the street from my house and my Mom said I could buy whatever I wanted. Candy, Toys, whatever $2.00 could get you haha. My sister was with me and was always reading those teenage magazines, Teen Bop and Tiger Beat  and I followed her to the mags. And there I saw it... Sonic The Hedgehog #0. At 6yrs old I was thinking, "Wow... he's come out of the videogame into his own comic!!" I grabbed it from the shelf and my mom was like, "That's $1.50 honey, you sure you wanna spend all your money on that?" I said yup! I got that and a large size bag of M&M's that back then were fifty cents.
Sonic The Hedgehog was the first comic book I had ever bought with my own money. The only comic I'd been exposed to before that was Charlie Brown, my mom used to by those for me at garage sales. But Sonic... It was fresh, new, and I gotta say it... "Way Past Cool!" hahaha... (If you don't know what that's all about don't worry about it.)
Being only six I didn't take very good care of that comic though... And these days it looks like it's been through a war... My mom wrote on it... The cover's missing... The pages are all tapped up and torn...
 
When I was about 15 I got robbed. As in somebody actually stole half of my comic book collection, and these two action figures of mine :bummer: They stole almost my entire Charlie Brown collection, and majority of my DC/Marvel stuff. Oh and my Knuckles collection, (He has a brief series too). The first thing I looked for though, was my Sonic Issue #0. Though I was upset about my stuff, esp the Charlie Brown stuff because that mess was from the 30's and 40's, I was relieved my first Sonic issue was still there! I still don't know who did it, but over the years I managed to regain most of the comic's that got stolen except for the Charlie Brown stuff.
Anyways.... (I'm sure ya'll are getting tired of reading this and are thinking, get to the darn point Artsta! Haha so I'll rap it up.) The reason I'm posting this is because last week I was in a used bookstore that happens to sale comic's. It was on the first shelf clear as day, perfect conditions... Sonic The Hedgehog Issue #0!! I was like, "WHOA!!!!" Ha I actually said that out loud and all the old ppl stopped to stare at me haha. I had always wanted to get another copy of it because of the condition mine was in. And 16yrs later, there it was. I was so happy man! So yeah that was basically the point of this post... It's been a week since I found it and I'm still hyper over it!

Jon that was a cool story. Renae's done an issue (or 2). I got to check it out. Of course in 93 I think I was 15 and into other stuff comics wise.

i love the sonic comics, for some reason whenever a friend moves away they give me there sonic comics(and a game gear O_o, between the 3 or 4 ive gotten i have a woring one with the magnifier/batter pack/case/ac/4 sonic games ^_^) in even got a stack of European "sonic the comic" issues.

Great story bro!
I remember I had the same reaction when I found X-FORCE issue one not too long ago and ended up buying 4 copies of it.
Everyone ragged on me about it, but I didnt care. I loved that issues as a kid and it was great to have it back in my hands, brand new. :thumbsup:
